Re: I've also bought a Jaguar

Brought the Jaguar out of hibernation yesterday, the last journey it did was last September and its been sitting on top of the ramp since then. Half a turn of the starter motor and it burst into life, so this morning it went for its annual MOT and passed and is now ready to do another 1000 miles thi...

Re: Brad's Renault Grand Espace V6 24v.

If you want/need to check the ATF level start the engine BEFORE removing the level plug. Otherwise you will loose about a litre of fluid...

Re: Brad's Renault Grand Espace V6 24v.

Lots of hype and myths about the sealed for life ZF boxes. My findings is that they are not complicated to drain and refill. There are a couple of plugs on the side of the box, one to drain (will be at the lowest point) and one to fill (usually above the sump) If you are going to change the ATF it i...

Re: I've also bought a Jaguar

Some interior pictures. Slight bit of Jaguar bolster wear on the driver's seat but no shine on the leather anywhere. All I have done is vacuum the interior and give the leather a light wipe with some APC. http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc110/ourclassiccars/Xj308/P1010342.jpg http://i219.photobuc...

Re: I've also bought a Jaguar

I looked at the XJ6 and truth be told the straight 6 is a fantastic engine but that interior... that dash looks like it was designed in the 1970s. The XJR is a beast and I did take a few for a test drive, but the problem with them is when they break they are expensive to repair, and they usually hav...

Re: I've also bought a Jaguar

Loving this barging stuff. Went to a scrap yard today and bought a door seal, full set of genuine Jaguar Rubber mats, rubber seal for under the bonnet, leather service wallet, two brand new Jaguar 12v cigarette lighters and a couple of odds and sods all for a tenner The driver mat was worn through s...

I've also bought a Jaguar

Jaguar XJ8 Can't believe how inexpensive the X308 is at the moment, I've just bought this one for less than the price of a set of tyres, 15 years old so it qualifies for classic insurance, 58k FJSH but it had no MOT which meant I had to book it in before driving 100 miles to my MOT station It passed...
