Re: Rover 825 Sterling Diesel Coupe
I think the 827 has a different cooler (with fins a bit like the gearbox cooler on my car)

Re: Rover 825 Sterling Diesel Coupe
It seems good buy - certainly did me a very good turn and I really prefer to use OEM parts whenever possible. Facebook is ok for social stuff, but far too transitory. For anything that other 800 owners might find usefull now or in the future 800.info is definately the best place to put things.

Re: Rover 825 Sterling Diesel Coupe
This was the cooler I bought: http://mgrovergenuine.co.uk/genuine-mg-rover-parts/mg-rover-qgc10022-cooler-pas-fluid/ Its a genuine part and listed for a Series One 2.0l petrol and diesel. But it fitted fine on my 1999 diesel and now with the new rack, fluid and tracking feels much more positive on t...

Re: Rover 825 Sterling Diesel Coupe
its the cooler and the return hose from the rack to the cooler. Mine is still intact, but i dont think it will stand much moving about. I have ordered a new cooler (for a series one), not sure if it will fit but might be able to modify it, but they are fairly inexpensive and I imagine all the used o...

Re: Rover 825 Sterling Diesel Coupe
Lulworth Cove is nice for a walk, and if you had a litle boat would be lovely, but its not a beach you would want to spend any time on, unless you enjoy geology, in which case there is enough to keep you bust for a whole weekend. However you can walk from Lulworth to Durdle Door - very worth while d...

I might get one myself, seems like exactly the kind of cars I have been driving since 1988.

Re: Rover 825 Sterling Diesel Coupe
Our family have holidayed on the isle of perbeck for over 40 years, it is one of our favourite spots in the UK, or the world. However I must say we've also enjoyed some lovely visits to the East of the country Dave. East Anglia holds its own beauty for sure - from the tranquility of the broads and ...

Re: Which Motor To Buy?
If the used car market is as big as the panel gaps on an MG6 they'll simply fall through the used car market, never mind into it! There's an MG dealer opened up near me and i had a look recently at some of the cars and the panel gaps were totally shocking - i even saw a bus drive out of a cou...

Re: Rover 825 Sterling Diesel Coupe
Lovely pictures, we took the Vitesse to Dorset and towed the caravan with it in August. Had a wonderful holiday. Its certainly a lovely part of the country and get down there whenever possible. We sold the Dandy (1968 folding camper) in the photos once we got home and went back to a caravan. We tho...

Re: red 1 still going (just)
The car looks amazing - and its good to see the insurance companies respecting the 800s value. I still cant get my Coupe on a classic policy as its too new (17 years) and it bothers me...these cars are not replaceable and I would like to know if I had a minor prang its not going to get written off f...

Re: Which Motor To Buy?
I always forget about Volvo's. My father used to drive those, the last being a police spec V70 turbo which was always enjoyable to drive, if not a bit blande compared to an 800. A friend has S80. He is about to sell it to buy something bigger. If you are looking at cars around 5 years old, newer MG'...

Re: Rover 825 Sterling Diesel Coupe
The location is just east of Kimmeridge. Between Lulworth and Corfe Castle. It is an amazing stretch of coastline and if you enjoy walking the coastal path is breathtaking.....quite literally at times. There were loads of those pumps on eBay at the time and a fraction of the cost of the 800 pump. I ...
