Not officially no - but I did ride in Neo's V-reg Coupe which had 5 speed: perhaps and early 75 pre-production trial!

Regarding numbers I would think 85 total : 827 + 825 - just 62 or whatever of the 800 Coupe (827 original variety).

The 825 wasn't really push as a separate model which the 800 Coupe was when it first emerged - as a separate model...

Why a new bonnet?

The R8 grille, IMO, suits the Mk1

And was offered as an aftermarket dealer conversion when the Mk2 came out.

It would be a pity if it's done well to change it?
