OBD2 Reader.
Can anyone who understands these things give a recommendation for a good OBD2 reader, please. I am taking on a 2000 year car from 1st February which is OBD2 compliant. Preferably the cheapest one that still does the job.

Re: Volvo Diesel.
I have read with great interest the comments from Chris and Dave on Dual Mass Fly wheels. I asked at the garage about this, why do manufacturers fit them? I was told that in their view, it was just a way for manufacturers to make more money. They said that they had had a Mondeo' in, used as a taxi b...

Re: Volvo Diesel.
Thanks for further advice re the Volvo diesel I am taking on at the end of this month. Good advice and as I always do, I will change the engine oil, filter, and the gearbox oil before I do many miles in it. It is reassuring to hear that the Aisin-Warner 4 speed auto box has a good reputation. Not su...

Re: Volvo Diesel.
Thanks gentlemen, I had the feeling that if I asked the question on this forum, I would get the info that I sought. Thanks for all the links supplied, they were very useful. The car is a P1, the last of the chunky shape Volvo's, red Metallic with a light color cloth interior Called on the couple who...

Volvo Diesel.
I was recently loaned a Volvo V70 diesel by a friend while my car was in the garage for MoT work. I know nothing about diesels but was very impressed with this car. It was reasonably quiet and seemed to be doing around 50 mpg on a long motorway trip. I have now been offered the chance to buy this ca...

Re: Honda Leaking Petrol Tank.
Thanks gentlemen, all recommendations gratefully received and noted. The tank slopes down to the rear and I am guessing that water , being heavier than petrol, has settled out in this part of the tank when the bike was not used for a time and has caused the internal rusting. The holes are not on a s...

Honda Leaking Petrol Tank.
My Honda Motor Bike has a leaking petrol tank. So far I have had no success at repairing it. I have tried Araldite, JP Weld and Granville Petro Patch. All leak again after a week. My lack of success is driving me nuts. There must be something out there that will do the trick. Looking for recommendat...

Re: 1989 Rover 827 Vitesse automatic
What a great looking car, looks like it has just left the factory. Its nice to see a car in this condition. Reminds me of the "Britisher Architect" advertisement for the 800 that used to run on British TV. Thanks for posting.

As an ex Precision Engineer myself, congratulations. I mean the shim, not smacking yourself in the face with a spinning chuck, that was pretty foolish, to put it mildly. Dying is no way to make a living!
