Re: 1990 827Si Auto
Just stumbled on this thread again. Really enjoyed owning this car and kicking myself for selling it. Needed the space at the time but in much bigger premises now so could take something similar on again. Incidentally, saw this car in a recent YouTube video by I Drive A Classic - https://youtu.be/2D...

Re: Which Motor To Buy?
Having had a couple of 800's myself (MK2 820Si & MK1 827Si), I had considered getting another one. Problem is, I have a young family and job which requires me to do lots of miles, so I need something reliable with a healthy source of spare parts. I bought a 1.2 Corsa as a stop gap just to get me by ...

Which Motor To Buy?
So my old man has run Rovers all his life. Most notably a P4 105R, P5 saloon MK3, 2300 Sd1, MK1 820Se and MK2 820 Si. He tended to buy them about 5 years old and hold onto them for about 8-10 years. So, if I were to follow in his footsteps these days, buying something of the same, status same age wi...

Re: Advice about drill bits
Not sure what space you have and what material your stud is but can you get in with a normal bolt and a stick welder to weld it onto the offending article? Would let you get a standard socket and breaker bar on.
Just a thought........

Re: H585CKK - 827SI FASTBACK - 35K Ebay
Saved from the scrappie!! Yay! I'm glad its going to someone who will look after it as opposed to the crusher! Once we get ourselves sorted out with a new house (hopefully with a big garage) I'll most likely be in the market for another one (as well as a Rover 100 (P4) and perhaps a P5 or SD1) but f...

Re: H585CKK - 827SI FASTBACK - 35K Ebay
Well, after being royally messed around, I still have the 800!
Any takers? This really is the last call. It goes to the scrappy in the sky 2 weeks from now if nobody takes it. It literally is yours for £175 if you want it. I wont get any more from the scrappy.

Re: H585CKK - 827SI FASTBACK - 35K Ebay
I'm afraid it did go for £250. Local guy who is on holiday until the end of the month secured it. He's coming to collect when he returns.
It's not about the cash really though - I just wanted to see it go somewhere other than the crusher.
Out of 48 watchers, I am surprised I only got one bid though.

No need, problem solved due to mrpcpc's wiring brilliance! Pair of pliers and a soldering iron later and were back in business!

Re: H585CKK - 827SI FASTBACK - 35K Ebay
Its mine. Finally got my act together and put it on eBay. Unfortunately, as I have zero time at the moment, I let the battery go flat and the immobiliser fob has vanished so it is immobilised on the drive. otherwise it would be getting sold as a fully running operation and I might have even put an M...

Still no takers?
Come on, you know you want it!!
Price lowered to £500 for the time being (i'll be looking for nearer the original asking price if I put it on eBay - worth every penny. Well, in my opinion anyway!!)

Re: Mk1 827Si For Sale
Car still for sale. Thinking about eBay or Gumtree within the next few weeks. Just bought another motor so I am really needing to make space. The Jag is going as well. Pictures as it is now (bear in mind it's needing a good wash and polish / detail): http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/g361/funkkydr...

Re: Steel Wheel Nuts
Bump. Still after a set of these. There was a comment on another post that the alloy wheel nuts are suitable for steel wheels. However, I have the alloy nuts on just now but felt that the alloy conical washer was just digging into steel and not really achieving a proper fastening. Or am I missing so...
