Careful stopping processes, you can screw things up by stopping the wrong ones although it should be temporary. Yep, easy, I sold the car! The problem was that I had no daily transport, no long term storage and no forseeable way to fix the car. It was working fine, so was packing the tensioner with a few 15mm nuts instead of having the spring in there. Well the diesel weasel has been a pain recently and it's that old chestnut the belt tensioner system. Now the pulley wheel bearing has worn to the point where it tilts by a milimetre or two.
