Re: Hello. >>> 1993 Rover 820i

Hi Dave. Just saw your message. Thanks for messaging. Unfortunately, up in the North West with this 'self isolation' shut down scare at the moment. 820 is parked up in Bridport. Hope to get back soon and will remove the dash board to have a look. Or, will send an image of the tape which has a glimme...

Re: Hello. >>> 1993 Rover 820i

Cheers Dave. The MOT ramp episode was about three years ago. Then had the problem of not having the right gear to read/locate the faults. In fact I still have a piece of black tape over the dashborad warning light in order to get it through the last test as nobody seemed to have the kit to clear the...

Re: Hello. >>> 1993 Rover 820i

Cheers Dave. For taking the time to reply Wil invest in some Spirits and add to the Tank and give it a go. I seem to remember giving the mushroom head a bang with a flat head to get a 'Booging Sound'. Your quite right I have listerned to too many people and had it into 3-4 diffrent garages to solve ...

Re: Hello. >>> 1993 Rover 820i

The problem had got more persistant from only cutting out once in a blue moon and then working for quite a w...

Re: Hello. >>> 1993 Rover 820i

Re: Hello. >>> 1993 Rover 820i

Ahhh. It was desperation on my behalf. After I had driven it home from the garage. I was pig sick of it stalling in the town centre. But it was worth it for the drive I had today. If anything it seems to have narrowed down the fault. Will be driving it shortly, so see if it behaves. Will look at the...

Re: Hello. >>> 1993 Rover 820i

Hi Guys. Happy boy here (not to premature I hope) just done a quick 200 mile test drive to Cornwall and back using Motorway+ A and B roads. Had the car in a local garage this week for MOT and fix. They did a smoke test and found the rocker cover had a leak. Put some rubber seal in and that stopped t...
