Re: Various 800 parts 827 820 mk1 and mk2

Hi Alex, I do still have the drivers door handle. Just to check you definitely want the drivers side (front right) as I do believe you're in Germany? Dave, as we discussed if anything is left of the free bits by the end of this month you're welcome to them :-) Hi Dusan, this is good news. It is not...

Re: Various 800 parts 827 820 mk1 and mk2

Hello,

I have not been on here since ages and looked today if there is a chance to find a driver's door exterior handle....

Now, it seems I may be lucky - do you still have it? I really would like to bug this of you - there is a great (ex banger) 827 Vitesse waiting for it.

Regards,

Alexander

Re: Interior of USA Sterling

Here in Germany we got a special edition called 'Oxford' - basically a late 827 Sterling - that featured Rosewood trim. And it does look really nice in reality.

Re: BMC and Leyland Show at Gaydon this Sunday

I was going to go to this but with the poor planning of holding the event on the same day as the British Grand Prix I am going to give it a miss along with the M1,M45,M40 and associated feeder roads as they will all be car parks. :( Hmm, I was there and traffic there and back was a doddle (M40 from...

Re: Not a Rover .........................but ..........

Hmm, memories.... Before I got my first Maxi, I had a similar one bought for a long holiday (5000kms through France). Mine was a Ghia 2.0, but the older model and - of course - a Taunus with the V6 engine. It was a lot cheaper though ;)

Re: Continental 827 Vitesse

Oh yes, the second one looks very good. Ex Rover management apparently - a late 6-dial car without A/C and manual gearbox - what's not to like? The exhaust on the Vitesse is fixed correctly, it sounds great. I just wonder if the empty rear half of the interior has something to do with this. Regards,...

Re: Continental 827 Vitesse

Here's a bit about it: http://www.aronline.co.uk/blogs/ar-cars/you-only-live-twice/ If you put in 827 Vitesse in the search on the right top, it will come up quite quickly, navigation is not the best on AROnline currently. The car is manual ( :-D ) - with a nice, roarty exhaust note quite different ...

Re: Sterling Door Mirror

There is an electric difference between memory and non-memory mirrors: The ones with memory tell the ECU the currenty mirror position (via resistors, if going by the wiring diagrams). The memory needs this to actually work.

No Brad - your filler pipe is wrong for that car ;) It needs a pre-cat one I suppose, painted in gloss black :)

Re: New Rover 800 Coupe £22,950

Nice plan, but...

at least here in Germany it would face plenty of legal problems - starting with emissions. If it is a 1999 shell, the car will be treated as such.
