the kia Sedona also uses the kv6 engine and the water pump is the same as the 800.... the 75 pump has a couple of the bolt holes in a different place.. done mot this morning, failed it on emissions... new lambda sensor later and it passed easily, my car is jan 86, so must be below 4.5%.. finished up 3.7%, bearing in mind this system is for a 2 litre 16v, and mine is a 2 litre 8v.. seems slightly smoother as well, got home this evening and taxed it....

been playing on the car today... the mixture is now down to 4.3% until I take the breather of the intake, then its 3.8% so next step oil change, have cleared all adaptions, cleaned the nearly new plugs (well years old but only a couple of k miles).. can within the diagnostics change the timing and i...

I will be putting mine up soon, I am hoping some where near £1000 , but as always it boils down to what someone will pay for it.. an ecu reset sometimes works.. it forces it to relearn sooner rather later, with sensors replaced it may be trying to relearn everything... regards ricky

dave you forgot the broken timing chains etc, which I might add are at the rear of the engine so engine out job.. regards ricky

I am probably quite mild then, I have only 1 800, 1 dog, very few spares.. in the past lots of sd1's but only ever 1 at a time.. I do however have a morris and an mg but from before the "rover years" .... lol

have repainted the mg badge on the front... painted the black door handle in red... have dug out the vacuum/pressure tester, all ready for Monday.. regards ricky

all new or nearly new, turbo I think is a mechanical setting problem, I have dug out the 16 pin connector this morning and connected it up has 2 faults the turbo boost control because I use a greddy profec 11 controller and the map sensor which I disconnected when it was running by accident.. cleare...

will have to dig out the diag lead and connect it up I think.. took it for a run and still the same on the emissions. no smoke from the exhaust but when I stopped at the lights I had smoke pouring out from the bonnet... turns out water was leaked onto the exhaust manifold during the turbo fitting pr...

i thought it did but wasn't 100% sure, will borrow some trade plates and have some fun.. I mean take it for a road test... regards ricky
