It's good stuff, used it during my apprenticeship for protoype building and such like. I had totally forgotten it until Mark mentioned it though.

I can see various uses for this product with the 800.
Many various brittle plastics that break and snap on these cars with age.

Thats another fun job for next weekend.

I've never had any problems with the wipers. While I had thought the fusebox maybe due for checking again, I'm also under the impression that the window ecu has been ingressed with water.

That sounds like a fusebox problem to me Charles. You should be able to get the windows back up with the "Lazy Locking" - just hold the key in the lock position in the drivers door until both windows and sunroof are shut. Alternatively, hold the lock button on the fob, the LED starts flashing fast ...

I've found if i take the battery off for a certain length of time, the electric windows work when the controls are pressed. Sometimes all windows stop working.
