Re: Introducing myself

Thank's, actually the Vitesse is mine and the black MK2 belongs to my father. But i treat my father's 827 almost as precise as my Vitesse. I just finished cleaning the engine bay of the MK2 and gave the leather some TLC ;). As i said on the Dutch forum, you have an amazing fleet and a beautiful stor...

Re: Introducing myself

Welcome to the forum,

I met you at Waalwijk Autojumble last time, i was there with my 827 Vitesse and my father with his MK2 827.
Very smart to go on this forum, there is a lot of knowledge here.

Keep them rolling!

Re: Number of 800's in the Netherlands (not much)

I was a little bit surpriced too, especially when we found out that people started to import them (not on a large scale).
But still a lot whent to the scrapyard or to eastern Europe.
In 2005 there were 1.289 and in late 2010 there were 519 so the number is still decreasing i am afraid.

Number of 800's in the Netherlands (not much)

Hello everybody, The Rover Owners Club Holland have made a list of surviving 800's and they were quite shoched by the numbers. I thought some members would like to know these statistics so here they are. Rover 800 MK1 Vitesse's 827 : 21 remain and of that only 7 have valid MOT (including mine :D ). ...

Re: Hull Motor show pic heavy

WOW ! a Buick grand national GNX ! that is so cool and very fast even today. I am not a tire smoking muscle car person but a GS(X) or a GNX, yes please. My other american dream is a 58' Plymouth Fury / Belvedere or a 64' Buick Riviera, real elegance. Those MK2 800 fastbacks always look good and that...

Re: Today I have been mostly Silver

Very cool to see that these girls are well taken care of.

That 825 Sterling is so rare in my country (Netherlands), only one remains, from what year is your Vitesse?
i see some things that are different with my '89 version.

Cool fleet!!

Re: Police rover 800

Looks amazing, especially when you think about the fact that a lot of bad guys started to sweat when they looked in the mirror and saw this girl steaming up the boilers and flashing her lights. I am quite surprised to see that even after a hard live the body is ok, not new of course but a good start....

Re: New member from continent.

Your Dad's mk2 827si Saloon looks looks very nice. I used to see an identical car in Brussels. Can you get some pictures of the interior, I have not seen the interior properly of European-spec 827s. I did see the interior of an European 820si though, it also had full leather. Hello Lord Sterling (a...

Re: New member from continent.

I will make pictures soon, but first the weather has to get better so i can make some nice snaps in the sun. The cars are stored in a underground garage and are never used in bad weather, even rain! If i take a picture in the garage it will not look good. The 827 si was the top of the range in Holla...

Re: New member from continent.

Italians could buy the 2 litre turbo from the launch of the Coupé, bigger engines involved huge taxes. These earlier Coupés only had the 180PS engine as the UK Vitesse saloon/hatch models, only later the 200PS version was launched. So in Italy you also got 820 Sterling and 820 Vitesse as Mk1... Mar...

Re: New member from continent.

Hi Marc, the grey one with the white stripes it is - have you seen it on the parking in Rosmalen a couple of years ago? Or on pictures either here or on AROnline.co.uk? I think mechanically and body-wise it is quite sound, cosmetically - no idea, but it has niggles like windows or door lock barrels...
