Re: Forum Change
Great join date too. Predating the web by about 5 years! As a relatively recent member, I'd like to add my thanks for your support and hosting of this great site. Ha ha, I forgot I did that, there was a bit of a competition over who's been here the longest.......suffice to say the geek with r...

Re: Forum Change
Oops, I hadn't realised how out of date my signature was! I've updated it now, I don't have the Jeep any more however it's still in the family as my brother has it and it's still going very well.

Re: Forum Change
Notifications are not working at the moment however it will be a little easier to diagnose on this new platform. I've also got a minor update to the board to do however that will have to wait until the weekend.

As many of you know this forum is hosted by my company 'Technology Systems' for free as it has been for many years now however unfortunately I've had some issues with the other director of that company so tonight in a move that's even shocked me I have resigned my directorship. The good news is that...

Re: Prestige Keep Moving Car Insurance Scheme
He won't post again because he is now banned. In principle we have not objection to traders posting who may genuinely benefit the community and help to keep our cars on the road however it became clear that Tim@prestige was not engaging with members and was just using the board as an advertising pla...

Where's Guru?
Just thought I'd check in to say that I'm still here......just very, very busy! As well as my IT business ( technology-systems.co.uk ) I also now have a property development company ( http://norfolkcounty.co.uk ) which is currently building 5 large houses in Horsford. Sadly this means that time is a...

Website problems 23rd & 24th May
As many of our regulars will be aware the website was down with a database problem for a good chunk of the weekend. The database problem was fairly minor and just needed a quick repair however it happened to choose the weekend that I was partying in a field (Radio 1's Big Weekend!) so I'm afraid it ...

Sadly my Grandmother passed away over Christmas and obviously as it was her and Grandfathers car this got me thinking that I need to do something with it as it's sat for far too long at my brothers. Coincidently my company (property development one not the IT!) has a spare container coming back into...

Re: My new car
What's your first year's depreciation? Went down to the local Jag dealer to see if they've managed to produce anything that is as good as the Vitesse Fastback. What they have is beautiful looking but not as practicable. The XE Shooting Brake (or whatever they call a semi-estate) has enough room for...

Re: My new car
At least you'll know the car is straight out of the factory and on to you, and not sat in stock for goodness knows how long in a field. I flirted with the Jag XF a bit (still do look at them from time to time), its the closest any car interior has come since the 800 to appealing to me but.... it ju...

My new car
Well after just over 3 very happy years with the ZT-T it's time for a change and sadly because I'm not a great fan of the MG3 or 6 it's not going to have an MG badge on the front, so I have ordered one of these: http://reedham.org/images/merc.jpg Sadly I can't post of picture of my actual car becaus...

Re: :Lightning Strike.
Wow, a CRT monitor.......I haven't seen one of those in a while! The bad news is that if the strike was enough to blow your relatively tough PSU the fragile main board, memory and processor don't really stand a chance. You may get very lucky and get away with a replacement PSU however in my experien...

Re: Should we form a "proper" club?
Can't believe we missed our own birthday! I've updated the home page http://rover800.info with a little message and some suitable decorations!
Maybe we should start planning for a big party in 2018 now?
