Re: Breaking 2x 820 Vitesse Fastbacks

Sorry if I miss anything here, I'm browsing from the pub on my phone, and since the new forum layout, it can squeeze a grand total of six letters onto a line, so reading replies is awkward! @ Brook - I have two hatches, one BRG and one Woodcote Green, both with spoilers. Really I am thinking I will ...

Re: Breaking 2x 820 Vitesse Fastbacks

Possibly already spoken for, Dušan.

Tidy, except for the usual on the Driver's bolster, and they're early type, so have the telescopic height adjustment arm like the R8 GTis.

Thinking £75.

Breaking 2x 820 Vitesse Fastbacks

Hi guys. I've made the decision and I'm not rebuilding anything here any more. So I have two cars here that I am stripping and scrapping. Not all parts are available, but please, if you need something for an 820, or any 800 if it's body or interior related; ask in here. The two cars are; 1993 820 Vi...

Re: Cornwall Trip 2012 !!!! (how many years already :o!!)

Everyone's preempting me on this question. Any idea when this is gonna be? Need to get it booked off, and the campsite booked up.

Re: Mk2 827 Sterling - Manual

Been out for a drive this evening... https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/s720x720/427527_10151371318105290_645005289_23395153_815606313_n.jpg Taking photos of my mate on his SV650, and so while I had the camera, and some nice setting sunlight, I thought I'd snap a few of the 827. Re: Anyone here a keen photographer?

Pardon me stepping in to give a little input here; I agree completely with what Gordon has said about bridge cameras. I spent a couple of years using a Fuji S9500, and towards the end, found myself constantly requiring more user input than it would allow. And as far as photography forums go, I've fo...

That's Karma that is there, See. For coming out to Swindon and not nipping in for a cuppa.

Re: Mk2 827 Sterling - Manual

There was a stainless steel backbox on the Vitesse you sold Rich and I, Ricky - I suspect that's the exhaust you're thinking off, and as of this evening, it's on the car. That's muuuuch better. It's a little wonky, but I'll get to that later. Ta for the link, Richard, I'll have a shufty at it in a m...

Re: Mk2 827 Sterling - Manual

Ah yes, clutch and release bearing, I forgot about that. That will also be sorted. Not sure if there's a release bearing in the kit supplied, but it's not a major thing to source if not.

Re: Mk2 827 Sterling - Manual

Aaaaaaand I'm in! I can't thank Alex enough for lending me a car, above and beyond the call is just not quite enough of a description. So far, I'm loving the car. It drives tightly, goes smoothly and is comfy as anything - by the lord harry the leather is growing on me and beginning to distract from...

Re: Bought myself a new trolley jack

That jack looks rather appealing, I'm fed up of using crappy little ones.

Might well look into getting one of those. Only downside on it is those narrow wheels
wonder how easy it would be to put some wider ones on it, make it more useful on my gravel driveway.

Re: Vard's (New) Vitesse

Honestly, I don't think the winter tyres would have made the difference in this scenario, it was ice that got me, not snow. And I wasn't doing 'insane' speeds, I arrived at the tree doing perhaps 35mph. I may be foolhardy but I'm not suicidal. Med, I have tried to open the bonnet, but AFTER that pho...

Re: Vard's (New) Vitesse

Hell with insurance, Tracy. Plan is to use the workings from this one to restore the Woodcote death-shed. What happened, was the back end slid in the snow, because I was going too fast. Fishtailed a few times, though I had it once or twice, then clipped the left verge with the back left, and it sent...
