Re: nos mk1 grey mat set

Re: 1991 820i

I had awful trouble on mine. The offside wasn't so bad, but on the drivers side there's a big lump of metal sticking out of the rad (some kind of valve?) which makes dropping the light in a 'mare. It made getting the light lined up the clip neigh on impossible...I can't even remember how I got it in...

Re: 1991 820i

Oooooh you'll have so much "fun" putting the headlights back in :D Do you think it's a god awful design as well?

But back on track, nice work, great to see another one having some money and time spent on it!

Re: 1991 820i

Some of that does look rather squished! I'll be watching this thread closely, because I think mine has almost certainly had a knock in a similar place. Good luck.

Re: 1998 820 Sterling

I'm actually trying to find one right now, along with the other bits I need. How likely that it will be fit to be reconditioned or be a repair by replacement job? Looking at them online they don't look too complex, so hopefully I can tackle it myself. Oddly, I topped up with fuel again today and it ...

Re: New member

Welcome! Coupes do seem to go for more than the fastbacks and saloons at the moment. Supply/Demand thing I guess.

If you see on down South you want looking at, give me a shout. Have Sterling, will travel.

Re: 1998 820 Sterling

That would make sense because for about five minutes or so, the inside of the car stunk of petrol. Cheers for that - something else for the do to list :D

Re: 1998 820 Sterling

I've covered close to 1000 miles in her, and thought it was high-time for that service. It's cold, damp and dark and I'm too lazy to service it myself. I also thought it would be an idea to get some more stamps in the service book. The car is growing on me more and more. Even the rush hour M27 is ma...
