Nothing - in fact, when I had a (thankfully non-recurring) no-start issue, I was trying to see if there were any flashing lights, but there's no illumination at all from what I could see. Hmm...chipping would make sense - bearing in mind the knock-off K+N set that was on it when I got it, I'll proba...

My Mk1 827 seems to run extremely rich in comparison. No cat either (which results in a conversation at MOT time along the lines of the tester saying as a K plate, it should have a cat and me saying the Mk1s were never fitted with them from standard and he should check his database) I get around 3.5...

Mk1 827 o/s driveshaft (manual)
As above really!
It's been identified that the driver's side driveshaft is broken and needs replacing (I'm 200 miles away from the car, so I'm working on 3rd-party reports).
Let me know how much (inc. postage) and I'll cough up the ready money.
Can anyone help? Ta.

Update
Well, it's rare for me to keep a car for long enough to put it through two MOTs, but the 827 got tested on Friday and low and behold...
Another pass!
Straight through this time, no bother at all.
Smiles all round.

I will, but in all honesty only at the traffic lights  The MR2, whilst not as quick in a straight line, is definitely a quicker car in the real world. More than anything, it sticks so you can just keep the power on all the time. Having the 827 lowered on Konis definitely helped, but it's still ...

Dusan - I don't intend doing a thing to it, except keep it on the road for as long as economically possible. As I'm going along, I'm doing little jobs here and there (like trying to work out how the frig I'm going to get anything like a decent stereo set-up in there without significant outlay on new...
