Re: Mercedade's '97 Vitesse Lux
Yes all rear discs are the same, sump gasket is LVF10005EVA if you want to search on line and front shocks should have some paint marks on if they haven't worn off, you're looking for white/green as its a turbo, if its any other colour let me know. Part number for fronts is GRS107. Rears part number...

Re: Manalishis Mk 1 827 Vitesse (manual)
The white plastic box is the central locking ecu, the relay tower is on the back of that, and unless I'm mistaken I can see a couple of yellow relays from the picture up behind the white ecu. Once you drop that central locking ecu down the relay tower will come with it and expose all the relays incl...

Re: NEC and Rover 800 owners club
It all sounds a bit silly IMO. Good luck with it Dave, I wish I still had some interest in the cars and would have offered to help in some way. I still have a large Rover sign knocking around somewhere if that's any use to the cause? I'll try and grab a photo to show you over the weekend. That woul...

Re: NEC and Rover 800 owners club
I'm afraid the 800 Club has become a shadow of what it set out to be and almost made it. At a Extraordinary General Meeting in September they voted to become a bolt on to the Maestro Montego Club, I'm still waiting to hear if the MM Club has ratified and excepted that takeover. I had my membership o...

Re: Plastic bumper bracket
Not thinking of the scuttle although of course that would be good, but the metal panel above the brake servo, (it always rots) that sits under the plastic grille which cover the plenum/wiper mechanism. I don't seem to be able to put pictures up anymore, my PC operating system is rather old and unsup...

Re: Plastic bumper bracket
Fantastic idea Mark and well done for doing it. I know nothing of 3d printing, whats the costing factor, is it size, material, strength or a combination? I'm thinking metal panel under the scuttle, above the brake servo, 3D printed in some kind of flexi plastic. Is this as smple as scan the object, ...

Re: Manalishis Mk 1 827 Vitesse (manual)
Cant seem to find any relay behind the bumper. Im not even sure what Im looking for? Go on Rimmers web site, tap in Rover 800 early relays, item 24 is the dim dip resistor, item 3 is the dim dip relay, should be mounted below left hand headlight near where the bumper bar bolts to the chassis. Dave ...

Re: Manalishis Mk 1 827 Vitesse (manual)
The Relay Tower, as it's known is a little awkward to get at, it's on the other side of the central locking ecu just above the brake/accel pedal, once its off you'll see why its called the relay tower, a dozen relays in two rows of various sizes, most are labelled with what function they perform. I'...

Re: Manalishis Mk 1 827 Vitesse (manual)
Henrik that thread was regarding a later MK1, your dim dip relay is next to the dim dip resistor which is mounted behind the bumper below the left hand headlamp, it'll also give you the chance to look at the wiring there. Are your rear lights working?

Hi Henrik Your car was built in the week before the Christmas shutdown in 1988, so look for christmas decorations under the back seat!! Your chassis number is;- W for Vitesse, W for Fastback, N for 2.7 non catalyst, P for PG2 manual left hand drive. I'll search my early EPC tomorrow for that very ra...

Re: Rover 820 Vitesse Sport Lux Gold
I got a brand new ali radiator for about £130 I think about a year ago. I'll look out the details if it helps. For some reason Mark, radiators have gone up a hell of a lot in the past year. I was shocked, this time last year i could have picked up a manual radiator for well under £100 (heard of a f...
