Re: Rover 825 Sterling Diesel Coupe

Latest. Last Saturday spent the day preparing the car for Drive it Day and headed off Sunday morning. Pulled into a service station to fill up with Diesel. As we walked back to the car Rosalind noticed a puddle under the front. It was a significant pool of Diesel. I started the car and we could clea...

Re: Forum upgrade and new look

I know how time consuming this kind of thing is, Can be hours, if not days of work getting it right. My oppinion is the forum itself is very clean and feels far more current than the old one. Its easy to read and does not test tired eyes. The only thing I would be tempted to change is the header ima...

Hello....again

I lost access to my account in a weird set of circumstances. I changed my forum email address and at that moment the forum went offline. (Thought it was my fault!)

Anyway, thanks to admin for activating the account.....so hello...again :)

Re: Drive It Day/Rover SD1's 40th & Rover 800's 30th at Cowley

I spent yesterday afternoon getting the car ready...again! and left in good time to go to Cowley. Stopped to fill up and noticed a big puddle under the front of the coupe. The Diesel Injection pump is ejecting diesel resulting in a fast dripping onto the floor. I had a look to see if it was simply a...

Re: Hi from NZ ~ 1993 827SLi ~ Help with Rover 800 Owners Cl

Hi Sorry for the delay Nick, I will change settings here to send email to me in the future (I did not notice I had a PM). If you tried to contact the club via www.rover800.org.uk, well, they switched to the new website on the 24th January and I had not realised the forms were not sending emails to t...

Yes - it moves around more than John Travolta to Boogie Nights! Lesson learned...next one will be longer.

Re: Rover 825 Sterling Diesel Coupe

Exhaust it not blowing anymore...but we have a side effect :/ The supplier of the frontpipe last April said it is under warranty...but they can no longer get one. So decided to take Daves advice and replace the flexible section only, the reason for this is because the Rover diesel frontpipes are an ...

Re: Rover 825 Sterling Diesel Coupe

Here it is - not exactly what I said, but still good to see an 800 series in a current magazine. And great to keep with my cars history portfolio :)

Re: Rover 825 Sterling Diesel Coupe

Remember the Diesel Car Magazine article from August 2014 that never went to print? Well I emailed them last night. They forgot to tell me but the article was in the March 2015 issue! They are sending me one so will post it here when it arrives.

Re: Rover 825 Sterling Diesel Coupe

You are right..sounds even more like a tractor than normal. Will try and get a replacement before trying your suggestion (thanks by the way), but not sure how long exhausts are guaranteed for.
