850 miles completed this week with no mechanical faults to report. Sadly half way into the week I had yet another kerb incident and nackered another alloy. Hold my hands up to that one, too groggy. Had a local chap agree to buy it last night/collect this morning (saw my 'for sale' sign in the window). Still waiting for him to turn up... Ended the auction as he seemed genuine enough.

However I have had another gentleman express interest, negotiations currently underway.

I've taken on my dad's Sterling and in my haste to leave this morning I have clouted one of the front wheels (making a habit of that). Does anyone have a spare 15 inch Sterling alloy they would be willing to part with for cash monies?

Yesterday I did a run to Burnley and back - total trip of 384 miles exactly from pump to pump. 52 litres exactly (whole numbers all round - wierd, right?!) makes 33.5mpg. Not bad for a 2.5 KV6! The cost of petrol for the trip was £65.90. Train ticket would have been £171. So for the price of one ret...

Small update! Car failed the MOT earlier on - brake hose, brake efficiency, one tyre and a split CV gaitor and some welding on the nearside sill. Booked in tomorrow to sort these out and then a retest. Going to cost a few quid, but worth it I think. After that this will then become my daily for a bi...

Maybe. Tried before and had no success, but if all of the 800s are going then it makes sense to try and part with the bits and pieces wherever I can.
