Re: S324 GTM 820 Sterling Coupe Nightfire Red

I've checked it religiously over the last few days and the level has been spot on every time. I wouldn't say the leak has gone, but it has definitely slowed.

From the enquiries I've had so far I get the feeling this is going to be a hard car to shift...

Re: S324 GTM 820 Sterling Coupe Nightfire Red

Honestly? I don't know. After nearly crushing myself under the car a few weeks ago I've been reluctant to go under again.

Re: S324 GTM 820 Sterling Coupe Nightfire Red

Yes I've put it up for sale, I'm very probably taking on my dad's Fastback and the Coupe needs to go. As I said in the advert the leak still needs looking at, but it drives fine now and I've not had to top it up recently. Reasonable offers will be considered. Scrapping is not currently on the cards,...

Re: POL 2014 - UPDATED WITH MAP AND IMPORTANT INFO

May be there in the Coupe depending how things go this evening (working late this evening). If I manage to wake up in time, see you all tomorrow. If I don't then have a good day! So you have sorted out the gearbox leak then, well done! Not quite, it seems to have stopped by itself :S well, it's onl...

Re: Dan's 1998 Rover 820 Sterling Coupe Auto

I've written and rewritten this post so many times I've lost sight of who I'm trying to convince - me, or the rest of the world. Opinions have been noted and I am grateful for them. My stance has not changed and I will not be continuing the search for this leak, rendering it a definite spares/repair...

Re: Dan's 1998 Rover 820 Sterling Coupe Auto

Confession time! My interest in this car is rapidly disappearing. It's not a bad car but I really need to focus on other things going on in my life at the moment and having one non-functioning car is ridiculous, a second slightly broken one even more so. I can't afford to fix either of them and the ...

Re: Dan's photos of old family 800s

Hi Ian, just saw your reply. Glad you're looking after it! Yes it had a tow bar when my grandad had it, he's a caravanner so used it twice a year to pull the caravan in the above pictures. Although R883NKV was used to tow something a little heavier... When my grandad bought the diesel he passed the ...

Re: What MPG figure do you achieve?

Having said all that, is your torque converter locking up correctly on the open road in your 820i coupe? You should feel something similar to an extra gear-change about 50-55mph under acceleration (not flooring it, just normal) and it should drop out again about 45-50mph on a traililng throttle, as...
