i know back in the 80's i could drive in and out of town with my eyes closed, now i have to take prat nav with me

I know it's all changed when I was a kid after about 8.30 it was dead out side now my mum say's the old bill are a cross the road most nights by the way we lived on a dual carriageway.

Is it because we don't suffer from North / South divide issues ??

Having worked /lived "down smoke" and "up sticks", I find the poor devils have no concept of the Midlands and its wonderful people!

Welcome Sid, hope the renovation work goes well and you manage to find the source of the stalling.

I won't join in with the Midlands talk as I've forgotten most of my East Midlands heritage as I've become a Southerner for the last 19 years, hopefully it won't be for the next 19 years though as I miss Lincolnshire too much...

Thanks Jim, not lived in the Midlands myself for nearly 30yrs....just having a laugh.

Kent Vs Licolnshire.....good luck with the choice!

The Sterling... more of a passion for end of the line - real British cars for me!

I had a couple of late 80's - 820se auto's in the early 90's and loved them (leaking windscreens and all).

The car is taxed and tested but not yet reliable, I will continue with the gremlins until it is reliable! (got to have faith!).
