Finally Im back in a Rover

I have recently aquired a low mileage 800i auto. Its only a two litre, but it was that tidy, and as I was in desperate need of an auto it would have been rude not to. Its a 99 t plate (now on private reg) in nightfire red. One of the previous owners had obvioulsy sourced a second hand user manual, but also in the glove box is the service book for T800ROV stamped upto I think it was 80,000...If you now have that vehicle and would like the book give me a shout.

don't want the service book just the number plate. It would be great on my coup,

Thanks Guys for the welcome. Speaking with the gent I had the car off, he bought the owners manual off ebay,as the car didnt come with one. Mine apparently was an ex demonstrator, owned then by a doctor and a professor, When i picked it up is had just shy of 77,000 o the clock. She is my only car and now has my own plate on her...

Welcome to the forum Chris, I imaging there are a few 800's out there (and any other older car) with a service book that doesn't tie up with the Reg as so many people seem to loose them (I think I have only had 2 used cars with the original handbook).

As for the private plate bit, I wan't to get R800 JYM for my 800 although I can't warrant spending £300 on a private plate at the moment, a bit too broke for that, maybe one day!

Plates are a bit of a luxury. I bought mine 7 years ago when I started my business, its now on the rover, I paid £250 and have since been offered £500 and turned it down...I would however like an 827.....mmmm

T800ROV was registered to a 800 vitesse Coupe from the factory. The car is no longer with us, but the plate maybe held on retention somewhere.
