Late to the party I know but two points:
1) Fob barcodes were often kept in the owners manual wallet, if it still exists
2) My garage in St Albans has managed to get a R600 fob work in a Mk2b. (I think zeros were used as leading characters where the 600 fob code was too short?) Keep the barcodes for later...!

Quoted £322 for 2 fobs (1 working), ECU and CCU. but would prefer 'Fastback's ' option. Do I remove my ECU, send off and receive back working Fob for £150 each ?? I've already tried to get a Thatcham alarm fitted , with no success.

Starts and runs ok, when Battery allows. Opening the Bonnet seems to set off the alarm. Starting her stops the alarm. Due MOT mid April, would prefer her operating properly by then.

That's what i was afraid of. Sounds like you still need to do the EKA procedure each time to disarm the alarm so you still need a fob then.

I think you'll need ECU, CCU and maybe something else - would pay to check on the website for everything you need to send them.

That's great news, glad you got sorted!
Are you after the door cards or the external door trims?

Just the external Door Trims. MOT Wed 11th 9.30am. then I can crack on with the exterior. I was in too much of a rush when I took the old ones off, a lot of Gorilla Glue being used at the moment. Col.

Is it the rubbing strips/body side mouldings you need then?

Re: Rover 825 v6 Sterling 1998 R543 HJW
I'd go with 'body side mouldings'. Had offer of 4 for £40 from 'Tiffa', but don't fancy rubbing down, respraying 'Nightfire Red' and showing the rest of the bodywork up. Col.

Re: Rover 825 v6 Sterling 1998 R543 HJW
I'd go with that before he changes his mind about selling them because they usually go with the doors as a complete thing to avoid mismatch of paint.
Not so much of a problem on a Mk2a as they had black rubbing strips. I did have a set of those but looks like i've binned them - quite possibly because the person i got them from as a job lot had removed all the fixings.
He seemed to have a thing about stripping everything to its component form - had some window regulators in the job lot, complete but the counterbalance springs that are meant to be on the regulator where the motor attaches had all been removed! So had the the motors! Whole lot rendered useless as various small parts were lost along the way, even if i could have found a way to refit the counterbalance springs!
