An old member returns from the wilderness!

Hi All!!

I'm not a new member, but rather an old one that has been away for a number of years, and couldn't remember his username.
My name's Phil Howe, and I herald from the days when CHR15E still had a fleet of between 9 and 11 827's (back in the days when he took in strays that he would nurse back to health), and Richard Moss actually still owned an 800. - this would be back in the days of rover800.co.uk, run by Doug Hall.

I myself owned 2x 820Si (one after the other) which I dooted on for for many years, but unfortunately had to let the 2nd one go when the chassis (and Sill's in particular) rotted beyond repair. That said I still hold a special place in my heart for these old Barges, and whilst moving house recently came across a huge selection of various parts (one or two that are quite special) that I will be cataloguing for auction on ebay, but also thought I would return to visiting my old friends for a proper good chin wag on the subject grease, spanners, and war wounds from tackling the challenges that are our cars.

I look forward to meeting the members that have arrived since my departure 3 years ago, as I'm sure that friendly nature of this forum will not have changed.

Long time no see, does seem odd sometimes to think how many cars I had at one time.

I've still got the pics of that Vitesse we broke up as well. That was a while back. Must be 5 years now?

Thanks guys, nice to see alot of you are still about!

To answer your question Richard, yes I'm still doing my Aviation Design work with ATL down at Bournemouth and doing rather well at it too (even if I do say so myself).
So as to keep my eye in with some proper engineering, I also moonlight as a Caravan maintenance and servicing engineer.
