still flying the 825 flag

Hi guys i am still about and still driving the coupe just not had a any real freetime to get on and chat will try to get to a few meets this year
the coupes engine decided to pop at 134.000 miles not too bad i suppose problem i had was my daughters wedding was a few weeks away and she wanted me to use the coupe :shock:
anyway i found a very special 825 saloon on the scrapage scheme this car was absolutley fantastic what a shame it had ended here so manged to get the engine out all in one and replaced my old coupes one this engine on investigation was factory built with the mls gasket
there was just over 100 that had this spec i will go into more detail about this later
at the time i had a bit of a panic on so i called upon the services of the one and only Brad to see if he could help me out with a spare car however things panned out really well but still a big thank you Brad you are a star.
new engine has done well over 10.000 miles without a hitch
just need to sort some tin worm out on the wings and arches get it back to tip top form anyway see you guys soon :D

I did think at the pride of longbridge rally that I haddnt seen your car - I spoke to you briefly at last years pride of longbridge (had my tatty green vitesse) and thought your car looked stunning. Glad to see you still have it.

What happened with the old engine, what went wrong? I remember you saying the mileage was quite high.
