Yet another newbie......Hi

Hi there, I am a new member to this site, and just wanted to say Hi. My name is Rob and I live in Cheam (which is near to Sutton, near-ish to Croydon). Grew up wanting an 800 of my own after my parents had a few when I was little......strange kid, obviously. However, last week I took the plunge and bought a 1999 T reg 820 fastback in metallic charcoal grey (or is it black?). It has only 69,000 on the clock and a full history, which even includes the original bill of sale, and several complement slips from Camden Rover apologising for various delays. I bought the car from the son of the original (late) owner. The car has one or two issues, but I am very pleased with it.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Will try to work out how to put pics up asap. Have just put some up on the Rover 800 Owner's Group on facebook, so if any of you use it you can see it there for the time being.

However, feel free to ask about the car, I will happily answer any questions you may have. Thanks for the advice Kate, I may be needing to call upon the technical genius of the forum's members if after the weekend I've not sorted one irritating niggle.....but hey.....a Rover's not a Rover without niggles, right?

Thanks everyone. Nah wouldn't have been me in a coupe. I only got my fastback last week. 1st 800 of my own lol. Glad I'm not the only one who has an irrational passion for these cars. Was beginning to worry
