Hello everyone and glad to be here.

I was 'spotted' in my home town of Abergavenny recently and then met-up with 'the spotter' by chance the other evening.

The post: http://www.rover800.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7501 sort of explains the story....it was very amusing to see my car highlighted like that !

It's an 825 SDi which I've had from new, first registered May 1999 and it has served me (and my wife and family), well for all these years, with just a few major problems. As I was saying to 'the spotter', it's a nice car to drive, is economical for its size and has a very good spec. I enjoy it a lot.

This has renewed my interest in the car and again, I'm glad to be here.

Never really felt the need to want to repace it. It was and still is a lovely car to drive, was economical for its size and compared with its contemporaries, had a superior spec.

With just over 69k on the clock now, I've always known there was a lot more life left in it!
209k on yours - that's brilliant. I just love the high overdrive 5th gear on these.

I had my driving lessons in a Herald 1200. My first car was a Herald 1200. A couple of years ago I couldn't resist and bought one again.
