I use the same ID on all forums so may be known from Rovertech, RCOC, 200.org, mg.org, 75zt owners club.

I joined here for one specific reason, i need a middle coolant pipe for my roversport 220GTI as pictured below. Its for the m-series engine which i am trying to keep standard and i'm currently using a bodged t-series pipe.

But for some candy here are my other cars.

Welcome aboard! Nice collection of cars you have there! Dare i say it - have you tried Rimmers for the coolant pipe?
Not the cheapest i know but at least you'll know it won't leak and should last another 20+ years based on the newest M series now being at least 20 years old! It's a pig to change if memory serves so you only want to do it once!
Cheers,
Dave

I have tried Rimmers and they do have(what i think) is the right part but at close to £60 i'm waiting to see if anything else becomes available as my t-series bodge is currently working.

Might be worth cross-checking the part numbers for the M and T series, you might find they are the same!

Dave

The only real difference i can see is the position of the mounting points.

Bearing in mind the T-series was developed from the M-Series, chances are the mounting holes are either there or wouldn't take much to adapt the T-Series pipe to be perfect, perhaps even use a "P" clip to hold it on the M-Series mounting?

So long since i di anything on an M-series i honestly can't remember it now!

With reference to the 1st picture.
The top (upper) coolant pipe is an m-series item but the middle coolant rail is a t-series and as you can see if just doesn't line up. Yes i'm being pedantic and if i changed the upper pipe to a t-series one it would probably hide its flaws but i want it right.

Don't blame you wanting it right, just had a better look at the pics and can see what you mean now.
