Just don't use a spirit level to check if it is level, because unless you are on a perfectly level road it won't be accurate.

The way I do it is to simply use a measuring tape from the sill to the ground at the front and the back then compare.

In my experience the cars which were the worst for rear end sagging were estates. No makes or models in particular, but just estates simply because those have more weight at the rear by nature and are usually filled to the gills with people and other stuff.

yes my vitesse had sunk at the rear. i fitted new standard spec rear springs as it brings the car to a bit more level look.

Thanks again for the welcomes but they may be short lived, I am contemplating selling the car due to it being not economical enough for me to drive to work each day and I feel guilty driving a car in such good condition every day to work, when somebody else could have it as a second car or be able to afford the economy!

Could anyone give me a rough guide as to how much its possibly worth? 12 months MOT and 5 months Tax with FSH etc
