Grey floor mats (Mk2)

Post by Alex SBY » Sun Jul 07, 2013 9:08 am

As the title really. I'm after a set of carpet mats in grey for a mk2. Not fussed if they are not new and / or need a clean.

These are NLA from Rimmers now. Anyone got a set lurking in their spares pile they'd not mind selling?

I don't have a set, but I bought some from a manufacturer on eBay a few years ago, but they didn't fit my car. So I sent them back with card board cut-outs of the original mats and they were made just the same. I think for the set it was £23.00. They look oe spec.

Had major trouble years ago trying to get the set from Main Dealer with the cut out one in the drivers mat for my `93 model sterling

You can still buy new BEIGE floor mats, but not grey.

Alex - I'll see if I've got some. Most of my mats though are a Greenish tint. I know the Grey ones are amazingly hard to come by. I might have some darker Grey ones from a mk2 Vitesse.

Darker ones would be absolutely fine! Whatever will be better than nothing! Thanks Mo. :)

I suppose if you’re desperate you could do an old wheeler dealer trick and spray paint some beige carpets with grey aerosol paint? Just a thought.

Just to close this; I bought the LHD ones off Rimmers and they fit fine. Whilst the one that is for the LHD passenger (which goes on the drivers side) is long it doesn't obstruct anything so I've found (in an auto anyway). On a manual it might be different though.

Well worth £12!
