Re: Driver's door trim
Are you on about the rubber weather seal strip George? If so i think i have one but i'd need to check. If so it's from an Si but i'm sure you could swap it over as the weather seals are all the same.

Re: Driver's door trim
Had a look today George, definitely got the weatherstrip and it's in good condition. It's currently attached to a door, also in good condition but the door is buried behind three others (with an old duvet serving protection duty) and a bonnet. It will take a bit of juggling to get the door out but it is possible.

In your own time Dave, if you don't mind separating from your door for me! looks rather delicate to remove...

Re: Driver's door trim
Are you sure you wouldn't like a spare door George?
I need to try and remember how the weatherstrip comes off, i think it is held on by three screws - one each end and one in the middle.
Of course, removing it from the door will be the easy bit, the hard bit will be getting it to you in one complete, unbroken, unbent piece!
I see you're in Lincolnshire, if it's south Lincs then collection might be an option?

Re: Driver's door trim
I've just removed my door trim which was quite easy, and as you can see it has white plastic clips and what looks like a push fit above the door handle end, I assume that a bit of plastic has broken off allowing it to rise with the window opening!
And the hole above the drivers handle end.
I have a family member who lives quite close in Sudbury so collection would not be a problem.

Re: Driver's door trim
There should have been a screw in the hole near the handle that screwed into the end of the trim - you can see the screw hole in the trim as well.
Obviously why it was rising up!

Re: Driver's door trim
Ah yes, it's amazing what you can see with a pair of specs! one tiny small screw missing, checked all doors and one also missing from drivers side rear door, taken screw from nearside rear passengers door and put in drivers door, rear door windows not used that regulary and can await.
Now I think I should change my wants to 'Two screws wanted for window seals'
Thank you Dave, I'm now feeling a bit So my job done for this week

Re: Driver's door trim
No worries George - at least i don't have to exhume the door from all the others now!
If you have a decent fasteners place near you then they should be able to match the screw up for you (Spalding Fasteners comes to mind, they like classics in there) or Rimmers possibly but you would end up spending a fiver on P&P from Rimmers for a couple of 2p screws!
