wheel spacers 20mm and 25mm

Post by djw113uk » Tue Sep 27, 2016 11:39 pm

I am looking for 2 wheel spacers at 20mm thick and 2 spacers at 25mm thick, to suit rover 800 PCD (114mm) and centre bore (64mm). If anyone has any they no longer use I would be interested in purchasing them please.
Many thanks
David

Yes, but I want decent bolt on jobbies. I thought I would ask here incase anyone had some. Just bought a pair new today at 20mm, and found some 25mm for the back elsewhere.

Cheating slightly. I am fitting 16" 7 spokes to my Triumph 2500PI. Needs 18-20mm spacer on the rear and 25mm on the front. PCD is the same.

Nice idea! While you're about it you could always plunder a later Honda Legend of its 3.2 or 3.5 V6, find a gearbox to suit and gain about 60bhp and more economy ;) :D
Or maybe you've already gone down the Stag V8 or Rover V8 as an alternative power plant? :?:
Cheers,
Dave

Ummm. :) rover 3.5V8, LT77 5speed gearbox, BMW 3.07 diff.... and all on LPG, so equivalent to 40MPG (ish) Oh and Jag 4 pot front brakes and larger stag drums to the rear.

I might try the 820 engine in the dolomite one day. I think the LT77 will attach to it. Would be easy to fit into the PI, but would be a downgrade on power.

I like your thinking! Gearbox is a personal choice, i would have gone for an auto but that's me - it's your car so whatever works for you really. Nice set-up though!

As for the 2.0 T-series in the Dolly, it will mate to the LT77 but you may need an SD1 2000 engine backplate. I fitted an M-series 820 16v lump in a Montego that had an "O" series in, apart from fabricating an engine mount it was a straight spanner job. :D
The only drawback with the T-series in the Dolly would be the scuttle/bonnet line, the original slant-four is quite a low engine and the T-series sits quite high. Good excuse for a nice big power-bulge though!  The T-series likes LPG as well so it would be a double bubble bonus    :D
Cheers,
Dave

Yes, my series 1 820 ran like a dream on LPG. It was only the gearbox that caused it to come off the road. I haven't got rid yet, as I plan to use the parts...

The 2.5PI was 4spd (zf 4HP22) auto, but I thought it was that drinking all my fuel, so swapped to LT77. It turns out that I HATE the LT77gearbox, and will be changing back to auto one day, but at least I can bump start it now! Since I do most of my miles at motorway speed my early type LT77 meant it uses more fuel than the auto did. Hence the BMW diff to get back to sensible top gear ratio.

The only problem with the 820 was it failed to tow my stag on a trailer - not enough power to crawl up the hill out of Wotton Bassett after I had to stop for a bus coming the other way. The Triumph will drag anything I ask it to - so far!

If that's the hill i'm thinking of it's not so much a hill, more of a sloping cliff! Not much will restart on that when towing! Just about managed it in my old 740 GLE while bringing my coupé home when i first got it, that also had a ZF4HP22 (oddly the 760 V6 has an AW71 instead! ) but those old B230E red-blocks could pull a house down with the torque they kick out for a relatively small engine.

I've been meaning to put an 820Si for spares or repair in the for sale section but haven't got round to it yet, as if you needed any more spares of course!  :D
Cheers,
Dave
