Having killed the Vitesse Dušan now phones to tell me the gearbox on his NASP 820 is dying and can I try to source one for him whilst he nurses the car home.
So that's a PG1 isn't it?
He would REALLY like the gearbox from a 420 or620 diesel for the higher ratios, but any working 820 box would be of use.
Off to search e-Bay in the meantime

Re: 820 Manual Gearbox
I think he's sold it already but he also has the PG1 Tor-Sen box from the KV6 but i can see where he's going with the 420/620 diesel box so might be a good time to do it, seeing as the box has to come out.
He reckons it's the diff bearings (or did when he phoned me) but thinking about it it sounds more like layshaft bearings from his description. Either way i think we need to ban him from driving more than 40 miles in each direction as that's when things seem to go wrong!

Two options there, he wants to swap the 5th gear and synchros from the diseasel box to the KV6 box eventually and as the box now has to come out............

Confirmed dead diff bearings today.
Won a PG1 Diesel on eBay for £50 plus postage so I'm sorted.
