Perhaps try a land rover dealer based on the reply to the other post.

I may have a secondhand one available in the near ish future, i don't think the early ones are still available new. Rimmers would be your best bet or possibly http://www.allbrit.de/UGCtree.cfm?Sprache=EN

Dave !
Do you know what size of bolts are used for the seat runners. Is it a torx-bolt and if so what size?

Re: SRS ECU for 827 coupe
It's a Torx bolt and if memory serves correctly, it's T50 - i'll double-check tomorrow as i'm refitting the drivers seat to my Sterling.
You need to move the seat all the way forward before disconnecting any plugs as the rear bolt on the outboard runner is hidden within the runner itself - the other three fixings are lugs and easy enough to see.
Once that bolt is out and preferably the other rear bolt (transmission tunnel side) move the seat back to a sensible position for access to the front bolts.

Hi Dave!
Thinking of possibilities to shut out the two SRS-lights. What about splicing in à 7-seconds relay in the gren cable from C505-2 of the fusebox inside the car. This green cable supplies power to the two SRS-bulbs( se p 64 in the LHD electrical manual).

Re: SRS ECU for 827 coupe
What are you trying to achieve Gunnar? Little bit puzzled as to why you want a relay in the supply for the SRS lights?

Re: SRS ECU for 827 coupe
The SRS-lamps are constantly on, I need them to go out after 7 seconds. If not, it will be a MOT-failure

Re: SRS ECU for 827 coupe
Ah, i see! Your idea should work then. What about disconnecting the supply to the bulbs completely? Will that also result in a failure or would it just be an advisory?
Here in the UK it should be just an advisory if the SRS bulbs don't light at all but a fail if they are on constantly.

Re: SRS ECU for 827 coupe
Sorry, but I need to demonstrate that the lamps come on and then go out after 6-7 seconds
Cheers

Re: SRS ECU for 827 coupe
That's a nuisance - i'm going down the route of removing the airbags from my Coupé, the SRS light has never come on and i prefer the colour-coded steering wheel and nacelle as well.
Just the passenger airbag to sort a replacement item for, i think it will be a custom made shelf then remove the SRS ECU from the centre console and the impact sensors from the chassis rails.
I think your only choice Gunnar is to fit the time-delay relay in the supply to the SRS lights, i've heard of a dodge which is fitting a resistor in place of an airbag to fool the system but don't know enough about it to be able to explain how. It also won't help if the SRS ECU isn't working correctly and throwing a fault when there isn't one.
In the Google Drive with all the manuals there are some fault finding bits that may give a clue on fixing the problem but i think that's where you found the wire that you need to interrupt with the relay.

Re: SRS ECU for 827 coupe
Yes right!
I found the solution (I hope) in the Electrical diagrams. Now it is first a question of finding the green wire from the fusebix IRL ( in real life, i. e in the car). Keep your thumbs for me!
Regards
Gunnar

Re: SRS ECU for 827 coupe
All I ever did was wire the SRS light to the PGM-Fi light. No one ever said anything, even when running aftermarket steering wheels which clearly had no airbag in them.

Re: SRS ECU for 827 coupe
Since 2012 Chris they've changed the rules for our MoTs and if airbags are fitted they need to operate the warning light now. A non-operational w/light will usually bring an advisory. However it seems the rules in Sweden are different as Gunnar says he has to show the SRS lights working then going out.
I recently discovered someone had wired the ABS light to my PGM-Fi light on my Coupé so it apparently performs the MoT check but gives no clue about the real status of the ABS system which does in fact appear to work anyway!
I think i'd start looking for it behind the instrument cluster Gunnar, probably more access there for fitting a relay too.

Re: SRS ECU for 827 coupe
Noted, I just assumed it wouldcrequire less work to go via the dash fusebox. It seems tricky to take away the instrument Cluster.
We will see next week when I am back in the garage. Will however commence with the gearbox issue
Cheers
