I have an unknown on my mk1 sterling I'm in process of getting on the road. Thanks in advance.

They were fitted to both the kv6 2.5 and the Honda c27 engines and are located in the centre of the bulkhead and are hose connected to the matrix in line.

Two possibles Steve - one is that Rimmers were selling these for about £20 all in a couple of years back, i bought one for my Coupé to replace the Jewsons copper pipe and isolating valve that was serving duty and the second option is there's a guy in Northern Ireland breaking a Mk1 827 :

His name is Myles, give him a shout and see.

There is a third option, the heater control valve from a 7/9xx series Volvo. It has the right size stubs, same vacuum control and looks very similar - quite possibly the same valve under a different brand name. You have to be careful to get one for a car with A/C or ECC (Electronic Climate Control) as the ones for cars without are cable operated and very different.

That's a fairly well respected parts supplier for Volvos, one that is recommended on the Volvo forums. That's the valve in question and as you can see, looks very similar!

Hopefully one of those options works for you! :D
Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave,

thanks for the considerations but I want a NOS or good 2nd hand original unit. I will keep looking till I find one.

No problem Steve - if it's any help i can get a photo of a real life Volvo valve compared with a real life Rover valve for comparison rather than ebay pictures. You could see how similar they are then.

Failing that i hope you don't have to wait too long! :D
Cheers,
Dave
