Scuttle panel, the metal full width one

Post by n1tr0_9 » Sat Jul 21, 2018 10:34 pm

Wanted, metal scuttle panel that runs the full width of the base of the windscreen and covers the base of the windscreen. Needed for a 1997 fastback.

Also need the metal plate that goes above the brake servo.

Manual leather gear knob.

Dimpled leather steering wheel for a vitesse.

R750 cd changer controller stereo

Can't help with the first two, might have a steering wheel though.

As for the gearknob, this was covered in another thread some time back and from what i remember, the Rover ones are NLA at Rimmers, secondhand ones are scarce (especially in good condition) so what most people have done is used ebay :

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-Blue-L ... 1262197594

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/new-Universa ... 2925873926

A few to choose from there - search for Range Rover or Freelander manual gearknob, they used the same ones originally i believe. They're listed as different part numbers but fairly confident they're the same under the parts label. :D

I've got one or two stereos with CD changer control, not sure of the exact model numbers though.
Cheers,
Dave

Whereabouts are you based? I'm in Manchester/Stockport, and have a couple of scuttle panels - but transport will be a bit of an issue!

Excellent. If I get a decent photo of my stereo can you take look and see if you have a match? And have you got the codes?

I’m in the south east! Bummer. I occasionally travel up your way so will keep you in mind. Don’t suppose you are going to the Peterborough show on Sunday?

I'm fairly sure i've got the code, if i haven't then it's just a box so won't be any help to you. What's the problem with your existing stereo?

I haven't found the steering wheel yet but i did find a pair of Mk1 Vitesse wheel spats, i'll have a look soon at the Stereo i've got to see which model it is. :D

Dave

Hi nitro,

I have a spare scuttle, a steering wheel and radio with code and will be attending the BMC show in my black coupe.

If you don't get parts by then let me know and I can bring them with me. I also have a reasonable leather gear knob too.

This is the stereo I need. I think its an R750, but importantly it says CD controller across the top. I think there were other similar looking units but that couldn't control the CD player.

R960 It should say it on the red lettering at the top there .

There is also a R950 with only 5 preset buttons instead of 6

There was a R750 but i think that may have been without the CD funtion

That is as Dean says an R960 James and coincidentally the same as the spare one i have. Only thing is i can't find the code for it at the moment, i think i know the code but need to refit the buttons to try it!
If it doesn't work you have a good offer from Steve for a radio with code, steering wheel and a gear knob and i believe a scuttle panel as well on your scuttle panel thread. :D
Cheers,
Dave

Just checked and your right it is an R960. Anyone got one in working order with the code?

I'm afraid not, car shows have never really been my thing. I like having a wander round the local ones where you get a proper weird mix, but never managed to drag myself further than a few miles!
