Petrol isnt really a concern at the moment, I'm just more worried about the transfer costs of the insurance as I have only a limited amount of money, I will get some quotes so I know where I stand.

I have always admired the looks of the E34 5-Series, my dad had one once, but I also do like the E32 and E38 7-Series.

There is the option of the metallic Blue 827Sli in Telford which has been offered it to me for £650, I'm very tempted, but it is at the moment slightly more than I can comfortably afford, he has fitted Black rauched leather inside which looks an absolute treat. But I would like to try somthing a little different for while until, if ever, a mk1 Sterling or Vitesse comes up or I can comfortable afford the Sli.

That Carlton looks quite tasty and very practical, its on my watch list. I went to see a P-reg 820 Sli in red today for £295 its an auto and looks quite tempting, but I dont actually like it at all. I'll post some pics up in a bit.

I think you'd find an 820 auto VERY frustrating - it doesn't have a speedo, just a calendar.

In terms of practicality, it makes sense, in terms of me liking the car, I dont, part of me says wait for pay day and get what I actually want as there is nothing majorly wrong with my 827 at the moment, but then part of me says, its a Rover, its an 800, its an auto and its cheap.

I'd go for that if it were me. It's very cheap for what it is.

Worst case run it for a bit and scrap it. Wouldn't have cost much. You can hunt out what you really want and maybe save a bit more cash.

I like that! no visible rust from what I can see, 2 months tax it's a bargain, OK no road burner but it's cheap transport.

Come to think of it, if you can pick up a few for a similar price and break them you ought to build up enough money for something really worth having.

I'll try and contact them tomorrow, they are called Merry Car Centre, in Brierly Hill, they once had a large stock of good and cheap vehicles and even once sold this beauty:




They dont seem to have many cars these days.

Come to think of it I remember seeing this car or at least a similar one for sale outside a pub (Pub owners around the Dudley area seem to do this quite a lot) and it was going for £400, someone said I should buy it but I bought my 827 instead.
