MTF 94

Does anyone know a stockist/supplier of this (the pukka gearbox oil)?
None of the factors round here have it. One time I saw it on ebay, but it was a trade sized drum for Â£96, 50 litres, I think. There's specialist lube companies, usually in the USA, on tinternet, but they want mental money an' all, like Â£22 a litre or thereabouts.

Anybody?

Have you tried your local MG Rover dealer?

Failing that, a Unipart dealer should have, or at least be able to order MTF-94.

Or you could try these guys, who provide a mail order service:

I think the latter trade mostly via eBay these days.

The Land Rover dealer in Salisbury stocks it, so I assume most Land Rover dealers will.

The Freelander has the same gearbox as the 820, so it's a ready source of spare parts, too (e.g. driveshaft seals, bearings).

Just out of interest, have a try at searching 'MTF 94' in 'all categories' on ebay. At the moment, it's only producing 1 result, (Â£50 for 12 litres) but it's the top item in the list of sponsored links that's the real eye opener.......

How on earth did a search for MTF 94 throw up a sponsored link to sex changes?
