V reg Sterling Fastback, BRG, KV6, - NOW gone!!!!!

Breaking V reg 825 Sterling Fastback in BRG due to unexpected events, all parts cheap and available except O/S/F wheel/tyre/suspension but the wing is fine. Here's a link to a For Sale thread for the whole car :

Sorry Ian, only just found your post and PM. With the notifications not working on here it's too easy to forget to check things like this.

It's a bone of contention for the owner as the car was on private property but the DVLA clamped then lifted the car. It's a long complicated situation but sadly the car is now in Ipswich (we think) and will soon become bean cans or similar.

What a shame another 800 gone , how can the dvla clamp and lift the car if on private land??? unless the land owner didn't want it there, never the less a great shame!!! wish I had the money at the time I would of had it but seen as I own six 800's already and have no more space, you know wanna of my day dreams is to buy every 800 that comes on the market to stop them being scrapped but its only a day dream wishful thinking lol, its sad that the 800 range is fast disappearing off the british highway, but at least I can say if I ever got into owning another make of car there will be no regrets owning an rover 800 a total underated car that a lot of comfort can be bought for very little money, my 99 T Reg fastback sterling £300 for example everybody who is a passenger even my children say have comfortable it is, I hope your situation can be sorted and you get the car back so maybe it can say live on as a parts car and give life to whats left of the 800's left on the roads.

Thanks for your kind words Tony, it's a very long, complicated situation about the private property/DVLA access etc.
There's little or no hope of getting the car back now for various reasons although he managed to save the seats and i think one or two other bits.
