I initially read Gaz as having said "reverse" not "reserve" and, quick as a flash, thought I had a funny thought.

The idea it was humourous was entirely in my own mind - I'll get me coat!

Reverse and reserve are some of those words you auto-correct in your mind to what you expect to see. Whether you expect it to say reverse because you've just reversed your car into the garage or reserve because you've just reserved your holiday for next year i don't know, there's some clever mind-games going on in all of our own minds all the time without us realising it otherwise known as the sub-conscious. It's like seeing those big vans with "Shoplifting Contractors" written on the side when what it really says is "Shopfitting Contractors".

Put another way, the thing that gave you the funny thought is precisely why i didn't see it until you explained it - weird eh? :?:  :!:

Now i wish i could be a fly on the wall next time you see a van with "Shopfitters" or "Shopfitting Contractors" on the side!  :D
Cheers,
Dave

I've already spent many a year wondering why shoplifters are so keen to advertise their nefarious activities ont he side of vans and lorries!

I've forgotten what Shittake Mushrooms bring to mind now... oh yes, a steaming brown coiled cake on a plate :D

Anyway... I probably wrecked this very useful thread quite enough - sorry guys!

It's classic 800.info thread-drift Mark - i don't think the forum would be the same without it! :D

The sills arrived, thank Mark. I am very impressed with the detailed swage lines and details at the ends. They even have the cut outs to go around the jacking points and the step so they sit behind the front wings. Now I just have to find some time to fit them.

You're welcome James and hopefully another one saved for now. Thanks for putting some pictures up, something I, like many others, seem to have problems with. Would like to see some more pics during/when fitted.

Cheers

Hi Vard,

Yes we have some of the second batch left. As mentioned previously, still £75 delivered unless the courier has gone up.

PM sent

The sills Mark has are for the saloon and fastback models Rab - you need to find Simon on here as he got the Coupé sills made up. I know the Coupé ones are very good quality though and won't look out of place on your wee beastie. :D
Cheers,
Dave
