This is DLR's coupe, the one that had a gearbox leak problem.

Yes I've put it up for sale, I'm very probably taking on my dad's Fastback and the Coupe needs to go. As I said in the advert the leak still needs looking at, but it drives fine now and I've not had to top it up recently.

Reasonable offers will be considered. Scrapping is not currently on the cards, I want to avoid that if at all possible. I also want to avoid ebay if I can.

Any ideas on where the leak was coming from?

Honestly? I don't know. After nearly crushing myself under the car a few weeks ago I've been reluctant to go under again.

it could just have been overfilled or have an air pocket inside the transmission causing it to froth up and spill out of the filler (like a shaken soft drink bottle). If the leak has stopped and the fluid level has stabilised at the correct level then it is quite possibly perfectly OK.

I've checked it religiously over the last few days and the level has been spot on every time. I wouldn't say the leak has gone, but it has definitely slowed.

From the enquiries I've had so far I get the feeling this is going to be a hard car to shift...
