Duo tone ? Sterling saloon 1992

I have a feeling this has been on before and is not a true duo tone though I could be wrong.

You're right Kate, it's been on before and isn't a true duotone. I think the bottom half is Shantung Gold but could be wrong. Also i don't think the Mk2 ever had the Duotone paint, i think it was a Mk1 thing that was dropped before the Mk2 came in.

It's not very far from me if i remember rightly and i thought of bidding on it last time but didn't, can't remember why now.

A purple/red seems familiar for some reason? And a green/blue one?

Perhaps i'm wrong then Chris, i thought it was dropped before the Mk2 was launched. I know a lot of people requested their new cars be painted all one colour on the Mk1s, especially the Sterling models and also that they didn't have the graphics applied to the lower doors.

You're right Chris, re-introduced for the 96 facelift
Caspian blue over Aegean blue
BR Green over Willow green
Oxford blue over Ionian blue
Bolero red over Pewter

I've only ever seen the top combination on one car in the Forest, but not seen for a few years now. It was not a popular option that's for sure, although I have to confess to liking it personally

I was never a two tone fan of any age personally.

My dad had a couple of single colour mk1 sterling's so must have been requested like you say.

It used to belong to VTB and left the factory and his wonership in one colour. Im sure he put a before and after shot up showing the change.
