Building cars live BBC 2

Post by rovercoup » Wed Oct 21, 2015 10:32 am

A series of programmes broadcast from the mini factory at cowley showing how modern cars are built with live pictures lineside with interviews with workers and showing some historical footage.
Shown on BBC 2 @ 19:30 each evening this week.

Last night showed the body manufacturing processes including panel pressing and structural welding along with quality checks of the process. If you can't catch it live well worth recording for future viewing.

I won't comment on the presenters but I found the programme interesting, having visited cowley many times during my 20 years working in the automotive supply industry.

What does "body in white" mean again?

I don't think they quite mentioned it enough
