My new S-type

Finally parted with my Volvo S60 D5, the absolute best car I've ever owned. Cannot recommend one highly enough.
It only went because I wanted another Jag, and my Volvo had now done 260k miles and had a couple of dents that weren't worth repairing.
So the Volvo sold for £570 and I bought an S-type 3.0 Sport manual on 51 plate for £500. The early version.
It needed a clutch, which is normally £350, but I got it for £50
That was easy enough but then I noticed a hole in the rear subframe . So I got another very rusty one and had it shot blasted, rust treated and hammerited and new bushes put in.
Then I noticed a hole in the OS sill. So I had a new sill fitted and subsequently when over the underneath with fine toothcomb (and wire brush).
As with these cars I had a full alignment done on the Hunter machine, its makes all the difference.
It doesn't pull as well as my old V8 Jag, but as this one is a manual, if you stir the box it flies, however in hindsight I think I should of gone for an auto.
I also think it handles like an old barge , but I might consider uprated springs.
It just looks great, and thats why I bought it.
