The V6 is a great car. I've had four now.

Cambelt change/spark plug change/radiator swap all entail engine removal so maintainance is very expensive.

Probably a bad idea for my purposes.

I reckon mine's cost about about £300 to keep since August 2008. Including an MOT and the cambelt kit which was £94 alone!

Espace V6 cambelt kit is £350 plus 12 hours to fit.

Took me 3 hours to do mine, an hour of that was taking it back as there's 3 different tensioners on the 2.1 TD. They didn't know which one it would be so guessed.

I have a spares one parked at a mates yard as well. That tensioner was different to mine and the original new one was different to both of those.

So I now know what all 3 look like.

My only gripe with it is that the heater doesn't work. At best it's been luke warm but at the minute there is no heat!

Our cabrio was like that - a gentle backflush of the matrix fixed it.

I've flushed it with a hose pipe both ways.

I'm thinking of swapping the heater hoses round. It has worked 'briefly' in the past but has mostly been rubbish or non existent.
