Non Rover - My Omega MV6

I bought this as a daily driver. Most of the images were taken by the guy who owned the car before me.

Since i bought it i have bought a pair of rear tyres and a pair of front wishbones which need fitting.

How is it with the 3 litre engine? I once tried an auto Omega with the 2.5 but it wasn't impressive. Felt more like a 2-litre really.

Thats just it, they coset you that much it's hard to tell as a comparison with say a 800, overall i'm not that impressed with the enigine especially the sound but it's very good on fuel 35mpg on a run which is quite impressive. It's strong point is the overtaking ability once you are already up to speed it does fly.

Mate of mine had a 3.0 for awhile, I found that from a standstill it felt rather sluggish but like you say Rich they seem to pick up once moving.

Probably more a fault of the box than the engine then

Thats what I think, sometimes it can't seem to decide what gear to be in, and mine has had the software upgrade to improve the auto box so what it was like before who knows. I would love to try a manual.

I had the lowly 2.5 before the Vitesse, it was a lovely cruiser and a great interior but the engine cost me dearly. Still think its a good looking car though

I claybarred the Omega today and it's made a great improvement, black really shows it up well.

My reflection on the bonnet.

Well worth the effort.

I like the wheels on the Omega. I like wheels either very simple or very complicated. That Omega and the Monty being restored are ideal wheel patterns for me.

i love those... Purely because its a Big Engined Rear wheel drive!

Their not too bad looking either theres a silver one that my garage are trying to sell (well the company using our forecourt and office's)

He wants 2400! Not sure is thats over priced or not?
