Is big enough to live in lol nearly 17 foot long , got in the coupe and it felt small lol

it`s not that bad has all the computer stuff and averaging 18.7 mpg round town

has nice 320 watt 8 speaker sound too , harrmon / alpine

might put a glitter ball in the back lol

yeah well i was saving up for a V8 but then saw all the engine problems they have , niklsil linnings and plastic can chain tenssioners , if you dont get one that has the engine replaced or one thats a late 2000 or newer you are taking a big risk as you can see by the broken ones on ebay/autotrader

so thought i`d got for the 4 lt sraight 6 more bhp and speed than the 3.2 v8 any way lol

and the words bullet proof are bandied about a lot about the engine

plus its only £150 fully comp on classic car insurance ! win win

That Jag is stunning, I've had a few XJ40's and a series 2 Xj6.

I've always fancied an Xj8 though, I was looking at an X300 on Ebay the other day in the same colour as yours its only £800 and the seller is claiming its rust free and all as it should be.

The AJ6 and AJ16 engines are so reliable that it's very difficult to get hold of parts to rebuild then (rings, shells etc). They can do mega miles and so there is little call for rebuild kit - if one breaks you just get a cheap, good, used one.

I really wanted a V8 but too many issues and the Aj16 enging has such a good reputation was a Jag for sale which said low mileage in the advert and had 265k on it lol



Coupe will be going into storage seeing no one is interested in buying it (only room for one though )so fastback will have to be scrapped
and will be getting Jag on the ramps at my local garage to underseal it all

I dont want to but and if I could move House with a large garden /drive I would keep them but have have no where to store them

If the Coupe sells which looks unlikely I`ll keep my fasback where it is and when funds are better maybe get it back on the road , might even fit the 42k mile engine i`ve had stashed away for 5 years lol

plus (long story) would make my ex g/fs daugter happy as she was 6 when i got the fastback and she loves it and calls it Roger the Rover I still get on well with them and its in her grans garage , so when I said I was getting rid she said you cant get rid of Roger thats my inheritance lol (shes 14 now )

trouble with me is i`m a horder hate getting rid of anything lol

yeah I saw that one , mine came on auotrader in the morning two hours later I was on the train to get it lol

fresh mot, needed 2 tires break pipes and pads ,which it got
i`m averaging 22.5 mpg round town
news 17 inch wheels
all 3 keys and both fobs

and insurance is the same as the coupe


only has a months tax left
and the car was £999 !!
how could I refuse
and had the Daimler type twin electric back seats

sold the coupe but still have the fastback and all the spares
so it`s safe for now unless some one wants to make an offer?
