my sterling coupe

here is my new sterling coupe and what a car it is 98k 3 owners last one bought car in 2001 for 11k full service history up to 92k immaculate inside and out fully loaded heated seats electric everything memory seats and mirrors lazy lock windows so when you lock the car it does the windows up and very pokey. cost me £500

i personally love it its immaculate i had a 620 ti before this i wonder if the plate is a coincidence S825 and the car being a sterling 825

Looks very nice, and a lot of car for £500, also the number plate is very appropriate S825.

Does your car have the incorrect sized wheel and tyres? They should be 16", not 15".

But a great buy for what you paid!
No longer an 800 owner!

Are you sure? I might be totally wrong here, but I think I read somewhere that they fitted the post '96 Sterlings with 15" for comfort reasons.

The Coupes had a differently radiused wheel arch designed to suit only 16"rims (and later 17" rims on the Vitesse Coupe but fitted with a lower profile tyre).

Sterling Saloons and hatches (fastbacks) had 15" alloys from 1992 til 1994. They were then changed to 16" alloys until the revised post 96 cars were launched when they reverted to 15".
No longer an 800 owner!

yes they are 15" i also thought they were a bit small for the car they are fitted with 195/65/15 tyres i would like some 16's but at the moment not that fussed just had to fit new front pads which only took 30 mins so easy. whilst doing that noticed it has a split C.V boot which is its only fault pictures aint that clear the colour is actually Zircon silver. oh and the boot carpet is missing so if any one has one spare i am desperate i went to my local scrappy he had 4 800's in a 2.0 nasp a vitty and 2 sterling saloons and not one had a boot carpet.

Vitty in my yard has a good grey boot carpet, not sure how much though, also someone on here is breaking a coupe might be worth a shot :D
