Getting ready for the summer!

So we finally had a lovely warm day in Hemel so I thought I'd make the most of it!

Due to 6 months of cold and grey and an intermittent starting issue (thats now been rectified) I'd not really had much of an opportunity to bond with my Mk1 so with Pride of Longbridge coming up I decided to lavish her with a bit of attention. She's just got back from having a major service, cambelt and new exhaust too.

First task was to finally get the period in-car entertainment working. I contacted a local guy who did a great job for just £35. Perfect for a bit of Club Tropicana!

I then set about tidying the black work up a bit because it looked a bit dry and faded. Autoglym bumper care worked a treat…

Gave the interior a good Hoover and tidy up, not that it needed it much..

Oh I love the stereo aswell. I had the exact model back in the early nineties. Fantastic power and great sound!

Wow, that is all i can say wow!!

My car will be cleaned again as well (not that it ever gets dirty :D ) soon because two magazine's will interview us. Us meaning my father and me about our 800's.
I have a MK1 827 Vitesse and my father an MK2 827 Si. When the pics are taken i will try to find a way to upload them on this great forum. On fb you said you are going to POL, please upload pics because i cant be there.

Sorry I didn't see much of you today Kate, was hoping to have a bit of a catch up but got sidetracked. I'm sure we'll bump into each other again at some point lol

POL was great, I didn't end up taking that many pics unfortunately. But after a 283 mile round trip the 820 did a fantastic job. So comfy

That is a real stunner...

I saw it from a distance at PoL and thought I must get back down the hill and have a good look at it. Having got waylaid with looking at cars and chatting to people, next time I looked it had gone! :(
