It's been a while since I've actively posted on here, so after everyone's finished going 'oh god not him back', I thought you'd like to see one of my cars I'm particularly proud of.
Purchased July last year, this is my 1987 (registered 1st August however built far far earlier) 820SE in Azure Blue. The car's done 23k miles from new and it's immaculate. I think this car was well known on the Rover Sports Register or some such club. It started life down here in the Westcountry, being owned by the same gentleman from new for many years. The 'personal plate' on the car was that of the original owner (it's his initials). After some years in his ownership, ut then found its way online, being sold by the famous "The Doctor", and changed hands a few times before I purchased it last year.
This is a very special car, I hope you like the photos.
A while ago I decided to get do some silly pictures with my F reg 827 Sterling, which also happens to be Azure Blue. I'll do a more detailed thread on that car in the near future...
Thanks for looking.

Yes this was Lyn's car from the RSR, he offered it to me at the 2013 RSR where I then offered it to the forum on this post prior to you stumbling on it and subsequently purchasing it, how good to see you back after such a long time :

As seen at the NEC where it received A LOT of praise.
It so lovely to see so many of these early 820 saloons popping up, do you have a build date for the car, I think it would be good to get a list up of what really early cars the group has.

That is truly STUNNING Alex. The colour really sets it off.
The two side by side look amazing.
The Fastback design has, I think, style wise, survived quite well and still looks modern.( It don't actually look at my Fastbacks as classic cars even the Mk1 Se.)
The Mk1 Saloons however, have a real "classic car" period look about them that just screams 1980's,
Big Country, Duran Duran,Toyah, shoulder pads and cassette decks. Fantastic
Long live the 80s
A lovely car Alex
