I can see why you'd want 4wd at that.

I had a chipped Volvo V70R for a couple of years and it was a pain in the wet with less power than you have.

Must get through a lot of tyres? :D

I'll be putting some engine bay pics on before she goes in for a couple paint jobs to be done along with what iv done with the fuel fuller, she does like her rubber got it on toyo proxes r888s at the minute loads more grip then the old Pzero rossos

Great car, love the colour with those wheels looks right.
That is some spec and engine work, cant believe we never knew about this car before, how has this been kept secret. We need to know more lots more details, the engine bay looks to have plenty of original ideas and custom parts, love it.

ive been trying to join a foam for ages but im not really one for letting poeple know what iv got under the bonnet I like them to find out the hard way so iv always been a bit reluctant! And to be honest i hardly ever have time to ass around on the computer too busy making cars go faster! I'm rebuilding a comics gt4 at the minute and after that's done iv got my brother in laws skyline to sort out -great!

I know what you mean about keeping the power hidden - the good thing about this forum is it's really only other 800 owners on here so i doubt anybody would be worried. Some of us have kept ours standard/factory, others just use them as daily drivers, some do small mods (mainly related to keeping the car on the road without spending buckets of cash on over priced parts but others related to improving things) and then there are others who have done a bit of tuning/suspension work.

We can all share ideas etc and something i noticed under your bonnet is a different expansion tank - which one did you use? I fitted a Volvo tank to my Sterling about 7-8 years ago and never had a problem, got two spare tanks in waiting, one for my coupé and the other to update the Sterling.

i'm currently converting my coupé to LPG and have a little DRL project using the existing front indicators brewing as well.

It's always good to have a bit of variety and it's great you're on here now! :wink: :D

Absolutely if ya know what your doing you haven't got to spend buckets of cash for instance my intercooler is off an iveco eurocargo iv adapted to fit, the expansion tank is an alloy race tank for a metro turbo so I can use the original pressure cap, power steering cooler is the trans cooler for a v6 auto 800
at the minute im doing a couple jobs on a m8s 220 tomcat turbo he's got the intercooler from a iveco daily we got in the scrapyard for a fiver where an aftermarket of the same size will cost about £200 he also has a 820 to be honest I've seen much better 800s in the scrapy but it just won't die!
Iv tryed drls b4 I had them in the headlights but the less I used were crap basicly evry day there was another light not working if you gunna do drls try and get as good quality as possible -smd- leds seem to be the more reliable of all of them i may try mine again some time
